The great election time is here , the dates will be announced soon and will be enlightened everyday , with a promise of better India. The next few months will see allegation flying thick and fast, new promises will paint India as a country of promise, governance and systematic brilliance.Just give them a chance to rule Delhi. The weekends have already become hectic, the news channels are the new play grounds where new political promises are made, defined to the general public and try and create sentiments in their favor. The election battle is now fought on many fronts Media studios, Social networking sites, hoardings and on the rally grounds. This is the latest election and Delhi wears a double whammy since it is also a state election for them.
Looking at the election campaigns , a look at the script of political speech , it mainly talks about a better India , with everything better, be it roads, hospitals, schools and system all are selling the same dream to the common man. It is the season where the common man at least will be respected in speeches, election campaigns and party manifestos, time to rejoice for this breed, but will it actually get translated to reality , the common man knows it better. You hear the noise everywhere the noise to make India a good country of governance, corrupt free and rape free. The leaders are marketing themselves as the massiaha's. Every leader is walking with prescriptions which can rid the problems of common man in a jiffy. The Congress, The BJP and the regional rot and AAP , these are some of the contenders for Delhi in 2014. The battle will become fierce as the time progresses. But i find most of this campaign rhetoric but not much of facts and reality in it. The promises vanish once the government is formed and the common man goes out of sight. I have seen this happening in successive election campaigns and also seen what happens once the election fever is over. A recent study discloses that the performance of 15th Loksabha has been worst by far, the productive time was only 61% as compared to 91% in 14th Loksabha.
A developing country which is setting it eye on becoming a super power in days ahead, the quantity of wasted resources looms large at our legislature. The adjournments, agitations, the no debate session talks a lot about our leaders. They may project as change bringer,while in election campaign but once given power they become really bad executor. The art of blaming others and crediting self for all good is the principal all parties follow. The country has seen lot of division based on the policies of these parties.
All are against corruption ...but they themselve indulge into this directly or through their cronies.
All are against communal ism but their love of one particular caste is seen over other all the time, it may change from party to party and from election to election, but the communal divide can be seen in their action. Muslim and minority cards are sure election winners and all major parites woo them as per their strategy and convenience.
Reservation is always and will be an issue till we cross 100% quota system, till then parties will keep working towards it.
Subsidiaries are other way of wooing common man , freebies is the modern and legal way of buying vote.
So countrymen the word is out , all the political parties are gearing up for political bonanza , lets see what common man gets, but in the end he is always a looser, at least elections of last 67 years has only proved that, hope this election brings better days for common man.
