Mr Modi , I really admire him for his speaking skills, for his initiative of learning new technology, his willingness to connect with people. He is by far the best PM we have had in last few decades. He is willing to go out and meet people who matters to him. His US visits are always talked and debated all media platforms, so this visit was no different. His Silicon Valley visit was first of its kind though an early PM also visited Silicon Valley in way back 1982.
The Indians are doing really good in these tech companies and Microsoft and Google has Indian Bosses to name a few. This five day visit was meticulously planned and i congratulate team Modi for spreading the vision of Digital India in front of the world. His visit to Facebook Headquarter has also added to his fame and vision. People were specially flown in for the Townhall event from all over India. Ranjana Kumari Singh a very known name in social matters from Delhi asked PM Modi about Women empowerment , her role in the India society and Mr Modi eloquently replied to her query.His answer was quite unique when PM Modi mentioned that India is the only country where female god exists in the form of Kali, Durga, Laxmi and otherwise nowhere in the world you see a female god. This was really an example of quick presence of mind from the PM. The reverse brain drain is a buzz word now and many wants to come back and set up themselves here in India. But what it requires is governments policy push, the Highway and Iway initiative, the Iway is as important as Highway now. We donot mind discussing these local Indian issues at the International forum's which is a change from the past. Mark Zuckergerg moderating the Q & A sesssion from Facebook Headquarter was a real treat and he was really impressed by the our tech savy PM.
Mark Zuckerburg's opening remark was very well taken by the PM when he mentioned about his visit to an Indian temple it was really a news to most of us who were glued to TV sets for this event. The passionate question about PM's mother won all of us, Mr Modi before answering the question asked Mark Zuckerberg to show where his parent s were in the crowd and then MR Modi politely asked them to stand up show that he can see them. This was indeed a great human gesture from PM Modi. I felt Mark Zuckerberg had moist eyes when he asked question about Modi's mother and while answering this question Mr Modi couldn't control his emotions/ Talking about his mother's struggle in her early days he become quite emotional and teary eyed.This is practically how most of mothers in her era has faced. This was the question which win over all.
PM Modi has to really push this Digital India dream locally. There are many challenges which his government is facing today and the only way this Digital India dream can become a reality is by investing into infrastructure and see that all the masses are there on the internet otherwise this will only remain a dream. Connecting the village panchayats through fibre network and running the government through social media these are two very important goals the government of India will have to achieve before the Digigal India becomes a success. The net neutrality and govt stand on data sharing and encryption and cyber space monitoring are few questions which this governemnt will have to answer in the larger social interests. All in all i see a positive impact of this meeting and the government will have to work in tandem to achieve this goal. Thanks once again PM Modi for standing for reforms.
